Nursing Diagnosis : Increased Body Temperature
Related to:
- The process of infection
Defining Characteristics:
- Fever
- The appearance of redness
- Chills
- Tachycardia
Expected Results:
- Showed no signs of increased body temperature
- No shivering
- Normal pulse
Nursing Intervention for Increased Body Temperature:
- Observation of body temperature (4 hours)
- Monitor skin color
- Perform cooling action as needed
- Give medications as indicated: antipyretic
- Keep an eye on blood cultures and sputum cultures, then monitor the results every day.
