Nursing Intervention:
  • Assess the frequency, depth and ease of breathing
  • Observation of the color of the skin, mucous membranes and nail
  • Assess mental status
  • Monitor the status of the heart / rhythm
  • Watch body temperature, within their indications. Help comfort measures to reduce fever and chills
  • Maintain bed rest
  • Elevate the head and thrust often change position, breathe deeply and cough effectively
  • Assess the level of anxiety. Encourage states problems / feelings.
